A Day in the Life - Quarantine Style

While daily life is much simpler now without overbooked calendars and running from place to place, it's also a bit more complicated in some ways.  With the challenge of virtual learning and not being able to see all our friends and family when we want, it definitely takes a toll. I have a home office but it's been more challenging getting work done with three other people in the house as well.  My husband set up his home office in our bedroom to have more privacy.  My daughter likes to work at the kitchen table so she can easily ask for help, if needed.  My son pretty much stays in his room to get his work done and only comes out for feedings and to play video games when he's completed all his work.  My husband and I are avid gym goers so we've been working out more in the basement with the weights we have there.   We take at least one daily walk and recently started attending virtual workouts with my favorite trainer.  It's been great to keep up with our exercise routine so we don't gain the Quarantine 15.  We've been lucky so far!  Although all the extra food in our house doesn't always help :) Our dog has no idea why everyone is home all the time but he definitely enjoys more attention.  Our rabbit could care less as long as he gets his daily helpings of fruit, veggies and love. 

On this particular day, I got up early to get my work done before the kids came down for breakfast.  I even managed to get some lunch time out on the deck to get some much needed Vitamin D.  My daughter managed to trick me when she ran into the office and said, "Mom, the toilet is smoking!".  Later in the evening, my husband and I had our virtual workout with my trainer, which left us sweaty and exhausted.  After dinner, I managed to finally take the time to get the gel off my nails and paint them again.  I painted them in a fun color that I may not be able to get away with at work. 

I really miss so many people and cannot wait until I can give everyone I miss a big hug! ~Stacey
