30 Minutes in the Life ~ January 2015

"Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}.  This is a blog circle so please be sure to visit the next photographer in the circle.

I cannot believe it's January 2015 already!!  Time just seems to be flying by at a very fast pace.  Whenever I can, I try to take the time and enjoy the moment and not let life just pass me by.  This month, we had a snowstorm and the kids were off of school.  I worked from home that day but snuck away for a bit to capture some images.  Very rarely is my son featured in my blogs since he doesn't really like to be in front of the camera but this month I focused on him (literally) (with a small cameo from our dog, Simon).

Next up in the blog circle is Colleen Putman Photography | NYC Photographer You will just love her images of New York!

Be sure to check out our 30 Minutes in the Life {Facebook} page.  We host weekly photo challenges so be sure to stop by.

Please take the time to visit all the photographers in our blog circle and leave a comment.  We would really appreciate it!

About "30 Minutes in the Life":  In the life of a photographer, whose art is created in tiny fractions of a second, thirty minutes is a sustained thought. Thirty minutes, the length of a child's ballet class, a quick sauce's simmer, a commute, is long enough to witness change and short enough to be over before you know it.  We offer you here our monthly results of thirty minutes of watching and waiting and recording, of rendering permanent those fractions of a second that slip past in the time it takes to watch a television show.  Thirty minutes in the life.

Isn't it just amazing how long kids can stay out in the snow!? I'm out for ten minutes and I can't feel my toes. I love all of the joy and action you captured in these shots!

Part of me says I am a little envious of the snow that you have, the other part says "you are seriously going to freeze". It is 61F down here tonight and Richard is muttering about being cold. I love the third image from the end where he is looking directly into the camera. Beautiful shot.
