"In the life of a photographer, whose art is created in tiny fractions of a second, thirty minutes is a sustained thought. Thirty minutes, the length of a child's ballet class, a quick sauce's simmer, a commute, is long enough to witness change and short enough to be over before you know it. We offer you here our monthly results of thirty minutes of watching and waiting and recording, of rendering permanent those fractions of a second that slip past in the time it takes to watch a television show. Thirty minutes in the life." These words were written by Sara Kelly to capture the essence of this group of photographers and the journey we will take 30 minutes at a time. "Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}.
For this month's blog post, I really wanted to feature my son since I captured my daughter last month. {Click here to see my 30 Minutes from August}. Unfortunately, my son is not much for taking pictures. I took so many of him when he was a baby and toddler that he simply refuses now that he's 10. Well, I was able to sneak a few of him by incorporating our new puppy, Simon. This is a daily ritual we have with Simon. We take him in our backyard, run around with him, play fetch, all in the hopes that he will use the bathroom outside and not inside. It's been a long road with this potty training thing since we are so new to having a puppy. It's much like having a 3rd baby!! We are still learning so any tips are greatly appreciated :)
