I have joined a blog circle where I will post a monthly blog that details 30 minutes of my life during that month. The reason why I joined is because since I have started my photography business, I find myself taking less pictures of my family. This challenge will be the incentive that I need.
These past few months have been pretty stressful for my family. My Mom, who had recently moved in with us to be cared by my family and Hospice, passed away in June. Then, two weeks later, my Grandmother passed away. It has been a difficult time for my husband, children and myself. My husband and I decided that we needed to get away as a family to just have some time to spend with each other without the stresses of everything that was going on around us. We decided to go to Ocean City, Maryland. OC holds a very special place in my heart since I could be caught there almost every weekend of every summer since Mom had a summer home there for a number of years. It was definitely bitter sweet to visit this time around. I'm glad I have continued that tradition with my own children where we can make our own new memories.
The beach was just what we needed since it allowed us to spend some family time together getting in the ocean (and boy was it COLD!), making sand castles, taking photos and making memories to last a lifetime.
So glad that you could have that lovely time with family. Can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss. It was a lot of fun to look at your pictures and get to know your family a bit!

So sorry to hear about your mom and grandma. Blessings to you all. Your photos of the healing time were heartfelt. I especially loved the water pouring over the sand image. So symbolic.
