Windy Surprise Proposal

I was so excited when Steele reached out to me to ask if I would photograph his proposal to his girlfriend, Jordan.  He wanted it to be at a beautiful location so he chose Black Rock (via the Thurston Griggs trail).  The hike is mostly uphill the entire 1.5 miles in but it was so worth it to get to the final destination and the view.  

On the day of the proposal, I got there about 30 minutes prior so I could get set up on the rocks and just happen to be taking pictures of the view.  My husband was the lookout for when Steele and Jordan arrived.  Luckily Jordan did not know who I was so she didn't realize I was ready to take pictures of her and Steele.

When they arrived, they walked to the pre-determined spot and Steele started taking pictures of Jordan and the view.  He then asked her to turn around and dropped down on one knee!!  It was truly a special moment, even with all the wind that day.  It was an honor to capture this moment for them.
