To me, that’s what photography is all about. Taking a photo captures that one moment in time that you cannot get back. Whether they are big or small moments, they are precious to us. We cannot stop time from passing but we can certainly capture it while it’s here with us. Whether it’s the personality or expression of a young child, the look of love on a newly engaged couple, the laughter of a family as they get in close for a bear hug or capturing a young adult about to embark on an amazing journey after high school, I want to capture everyday moments for you. I understand how important those memories are and want to capture those moments for you.

Stacey Markel Photography serves all of Maryland but I call Mount Airy my home. I live here with my high school sweetheart, Brady, and our two children, Dalton and Natalie. My love for capturing everyday moments started in high school when I’d always have my camera with me. It wasn’t until I had my children that I became more serious about photography. I slowly took the time to learn the more advanced side of things through self-learning and a few classes here and there. I finally got to the point where I was shooting out of automatic! It felt amazing to be able to change the settings as I wanted and get the image I was looking for.

With the support of friends and family, I opened my business in February 2013. I was so nervous at first but slowly built up a client base that proved every year since to be successful!

If I had to chose, I would say that my absolute favorite photo shoots are with seniors.  I love being able to capture their personality at a pivotal time in their life.

Do you have precious moments that you want me to capture? Whether it’s to celebrate a baby’s arrival, a birthday or the last year of high school? Do you have a little one who’s face you’d love to see on a canvas on your wall? Has it been years since you’ve had a family photo taken? I’d love to capture your everyday moments.

I encourage you to call me today! Let’s start capturing those memories!
